๐ Overview
This website allows you to automatically generate multiple Word documents using:
- A Word template (.docx) file containing placeholders (variables) inside curly brackets
{ }. - An Excel (.xlsx) file containing data that matches these variables.
Each row in the Excel file will create a new Word document with the variables replaced by the corresponding cell values.
โ๏ธ How It Works
1. Upload a Word Template (.docx)
The Word file should contain variables in the following format:
Dear {first-name},
Your grade in {course-name} is {grade}.
Each variable:
- Must be one word or use hyphens (
-) between words. - โ
Correct:
{first-name} - โ Wrong:
{first name}(spaces not allowed)
2. Upload an Excel File (.xlsx)
The Excel file must contain columns with names that match the variables in the Word file.
| first-name | course-name | grade |
|---|---|---|
| John | Math | A |
| Sarah | Physics | B+ |
3. Generate Documents
After uploading both files, click on the "Generate" button. The system will:
- Read the Excel file
- Replace each variable in the Word template with the corresponding value from each row
- Generate one Word file per row
4. Download Results
Once all documents are generated, you can download them as a ZIP file. Note: You must be logged in to download files.
